How do I clear my browser's cache of downloaded files?

Prior to re-installing Traffic Travis, it's important to clear your browser's cache of downloaded files.

Cached files can be outdated, corrupted, or buggy. If you had problems with the previous installation of Traffic Travis, then clearing your browser's cache will allow you to download a fresh copy of the most recent version of the software.

How to Clear Google Chrome’s Cache of Downloaded Files:

  1. Open the Google Chrome menu by clicking the triple-bar icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  2. Click “Settings.” A new tab will open.
  3. Select “History.”
  4. Click “Clear browsing data.”
  5. Make sure "Download History” and “Cached images and files” are checked off.
  6. Set “Obliterate the following items from:” to “the beginning of time.”
  7. Click “Clear browsing data.”


How to Clear Firefox's Cache of Downloaded Files:

  1. Open the Firefox menu by clicking the triple-bar icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  2. Click “Options.” A new tab will open.
  3. Select “Privacy.”
  4. Click “clear your recent history.”
  5. Set “Time range to clear” to “Everything.”
  6. Make sure "Browsing & Download History” and “Cache” are checked off.
  7. Click “Clear Now.”
